Balfour Beatty to build Glasgow's Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice

19 September 2016

UK

Balfour Beatty, the international infrastructure group, has begun construction of The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, a state-of-the-art hospice for the people of Glasgow.

The two year project gets underway this month, following years of community fundraising to raise the £21 million needed to complete the project.

Hector Macaulay, Balfour Beatty Regional Managing Director, Scotland, said: “The way the community has pulled together over the last four years has been really impressive, raising vast sums of money to bring this state-of-the-art facility to fruition. We’re pleased to have got construction underway, and to be working closely with The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice to deliver a facility which will provide high quality care for patients and their families.”
